What blogging systems does it support?

DashBlog currently (as of version 0.12b) supports any system that can handle BloggerAPI posts with the <title> hack in use. Additionally, it supports Blogger.com hosted blogs as well. Blogging systems that are known to work with this widget are:

  • Movable Type
  • WordPress
  • Blogger.com
  • Drupal
  • blojsom
Note that this is by no means an exhaustive list, as I simply don't have time to test every blogging system in existance. When in doubt, consult your blogging system's documentation and just give it a try. In either case, be sure to send me an email to let me know that it does or doesn't work so I can update this list. =o)

Does DashBlog work with iBlog?

Unfortunately, no, it doesn't. iBlog is a self-contained application and as such has no XML-RPC posting interface, and is not a server-side piece of software. As such, it's impossible for DashBlog to function with iBlog based blogs.

I really think DashBlog needs a spell checker.

That's not a question. =o)

Seriously, though, being an Apple application, you can just Control-Click in the body (or any of the other text fields) and click on the Spelling menu item to get on the fly spell checking just like you would in any other Apple program -- no extra coding needed. Simple, no? =o)

I think DashBlog should have feature X.

That's also not a question. =op

Make sure that you have the latest version of DashBlog, which is available here first -- it's likely that I've already implemented what you're asking for. Failing that, send me an email with the details -- I listen very closely to what my users are asking for, and take every feature request very seriously. =o)
